ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP DONATION FUNDS
 
NEW - FEBRUARY 2011  We are pleased to offer financial assistance to adult residents of the Junction City area who are seeking training, certification or schooling which will advance their career opportunities.
                                       THE APPLICATION FORM

ADELMAN ACADEMIC & LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP
Established in 2004 by Patrick and Janice Adelman to award an annual $1000 scholarship to a JCHS Graduating Senior who has been a noted leader in a leadership position. The student must have a high GPA and plan to attend a 4-year college.

ADULT CAREER EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES FUND FOR SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS Established 2010. Grants and scholarships of up to $2000 per student will be distributed between January 2011 and June 30, 2013 to adult residents of the Junction City area who are seeking training, certification or schooling which will advance their career opportunities.

BEVERLEY CONSER NELSON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Established in 2006 by Gary Nelson and family to award an annual $1000 scholarship to an applicant in need of financial assistance who has demonstrated good academic success.

CASEY WAHI MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Established 2006 by the Casey Wahi Family to award an annual $1000 scholarship to a JCHS graduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA planning to attend a 4-year college or university, community college or an accredited trade school. Preference will be given to an applicant expressing interest in the field of education.

CLEVE DUMDI MEMORIAL FUND

COUNTRYSIDE ANIMAL CLINIC ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP
Established by Dr. Mary A. Whitlock and Wayne L. Earnshaw to award an annual $1000 scholarship to an outstanding science student with a emphasis in medicine, either veterinary or human. The student can be pursuing either an undergraduate or postgraduate degree.

DARI-MART EMPLOYEES SCHOLARSHIP
Established in 2008 to award an annual scholarship in combination with the Howard Gibson Endowment fund and supported by donations from employees of the Dari-Mart Corporation.

FUNCTION 4 JUNCTION SCHOLARSHIP
Established 2005 to award one or two annual scholarships to JCHS graduating seniors who want to further their education in a trades-related field. Preference will be given to applicants who plan to pursue training as an auto mechanic or in any field relating to the automotive industry.

G. ANDREW ZIMMERMAN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Established in 2002 to award an annual $1000 scholarship to a Junction City High School graduating senior who has a 3.0 GPA and who plans on attending a four-year college or university with a major in business or accounting.

H.H. (MONTY) MOFFETT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Established 2009 by the Case Family to award an annual $1000 or $2000 scholarship to a deserving senior.

JACK MOYE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Established 2010 by Betty Moye to award an annual scholarship to a student who plans to attend an Oregon trade school or community college. Preference given to an applicant who has demonstrated a strong work ethic by his/her employment history while attending high school.

JERRY BROWN COMPANY SCHOLARSHIP
Established 1988 to award an annual scholarship to an outstanding Junction City High School graduating senior with a 3.5 average GPA or better. Should be a well-rounded person who is involved in school and community activities.

JIM PAULL MEMORIAL FUND
Established in 1998 to assist Junction City School District residents or staff with educational opportunities.

KEITH GILLIS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Established in 2008 to award an annual $1000 scholarship to a graduating senior who has demonstrated excellent character, excelled in athletics and maintained a high level of academic achievement.

JUNCTION CITY BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL WOMEN’S (BPW) SCHOLARSHIP Established in 1994 to award an annual $1000 scholarship to assist an adult woman continue a higher education. A second scholarship is available to a graduating Junction City High School senior.

JUNCTION CITY LIONS CLUB SCHOLARSHIP
Established in 1998 to award an annual $1000 scholarship to a Junction City High School graduating senior.

LEE CHASE CROSSMAN SCHOLARSHIP
Established in 2003  to award an annual scholarship to a Junction City high school graduate, preferably with a science-oriented background; minimum GPA 3.5; first preference to a student pursuing a medical professional degree.

LOCHMEAD DAIRY SCHOLARSHIP
Established in 2000 to award an annual $1000 scholarship to a Junction City High School graduating senior.

LOCHMEAD FARMS SCHOLARSHIP
Established in 2001 to award an annual $1000 scholarship to a Junction City High School graduating senior.

MARY METTS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Established 2010 by Curtis T Metts. Two annual scholarship of $1000 each available to applicants who will be attending Oregon State University, preferably planning to study engineering. 

OLD SCHOOL VINEYARD AND WINE COMPANY SCHOLARSHIP
Established 2011. One annual scholarship of $1000 available to any deserving candidate.

RALPH BRUNSCHEON MEMORIAL FUND
Established in 2001 by the Brunscheon family to award an annual $750 scholarship to an applicant who plans to complete a degree in pharmacy.

RICHARD E BRADSHAW MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Established 2008 to award an annual $1000 scholarship to a graduating senior attending a 4-year college or university, GPA 3.0 or above, well-rounded individual with interests including some of the following: art, music, dance, drama, science, math, leadership, humanitarian interests.

SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL OF JUNCTION CITY
Established in 2002 to award an annual $1000 scholarship. Preference will be given to a woman who has successfully completed one or more years of college with a GPA of at least 2.5, shows proof of full-time student status at an accredited education institution, and has been involved in activities relating to school, work and/or community.

STROME-FISHER FARM SCHOLARSHIP
Established in 2001 to award an annual $1500 scholarship to a Junction City High School graduating senior who wishes to continue with agriculture or an agriculture-related field as a career. Preference will be given to applicants whose activities include: minimum two years active FFA involvement, participation in other school community activities, and employment in agriculture or an agriculture-related field.

SCANDINAVIAN FESTIVAL ASSOCIATION SAINT LUCIA SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Established in 2002 to award an annual scholarship. The application process and criteria for the Saint Lucia scholarship differs from other Education Together Foundation scholarships, although an ETF board member serves on the Festival Association’s selection committee. Contact the Scandinavian Festival Association for the application form and further details.

ENDOWMENT FUND SCHOLARSHIPS

ADULT CAREER EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES ENDOWMENT FUND
Established in 2010 by a grant from the Chichester-Dupont Foundation to provide financial assistance to adult residents of the Junction City area who are seeking training, certification or schooling which will advance their career opportunities.

BROOKS MIKKELSEN AND ARLENE COX MIKKELSEN ENDOWMENT
E
stablished  in 1998. Scholarship awarded to a graduating senior or continuing college student who has demonstrated a commitment to increasing her/her knowledge in mathematics and/or music and who activities or volunteer work have demonstrated interest in becoming a teacher or involvement in activities which support public education.

BETTY PITNEY MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP FOR LCC
Established in 2002. Consideration is to be given first to a woman 19 years of age or older, seeking education or returning to Lane Community College; secondly, to a graduating Junction City High School senior woman who will be attending Lane Community College. If no one qualifies in the above categories, it may be awarded to any Junction City High School graduating senior who will be attending Lane Community College. Involvement in community and school activities, especially FFA, music and drama, will be considered.

BUD AND BETTY CARPENTER ENDOWMENT FUND
Established 2003  to award a scholarship to a senior who has attended all four years at Junction City High School who plans to attend a community college or technical school; preference given to a student in need if need is known by committee.

CASEY WAHI MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT FUND
Established in 2007 by the Eugene Active 20-30 Foundation. Scholarship awarded to a JCHS graduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA planning to attend a 4-year college or university, a community college or an accredited trade school. Preference will be given to an applicant expressing interest in the field of education. May be combined with other funds resulting in a larger scholarship.

DEAN MOES COMMUNITY ENDOWMENT FUND 
Established in 2003. Scholarship is available to a JCHS graduating senior with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

ELBERT AND VELMA STARNS FFA ENDOWMENT
To award an annual grant to the JCHS Future Farmers of America.

ERIC & SHARON SCHRENK ENDOWMENT FUND
Established in 2006 by Eric & Sharon Schrenk.  An annual scholarship awarded to a JCHS graduate or to a college student who primary residence is within the JC School District. May be combined with other funds resulting in a larger scholarship.

ETF COMMUNITY MEMORIAL
Established in 2002 to assist in providing scholarships and educational grants.

ETF ENDOWMENT FUND
Established 2000 to be used to pay education grants, student scholarships and ETF administrative expenses.

ETF GRANT ENDOWMENT FUND
Established in 1999 to award annual grants which create and/or enhance educational offerings in the area served by the Junction City School District.

ETF TIGER ALUMNI ENDOWMENT FUND
Established in 2005 to award scholarships to JCHS graduating seniors, with first preference going to seniors whose parent/guardian is a JCHS alumnus.

GARY BUTLER MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT
Established in 2006 by Grady and Gerry Butler and family, to award a scholarship in odd-numbered years to a JCHS senior who exhibits an athletic lifestyle and has a desire to work with children or special education in the future.

GAYLE DENISON STROME ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Established in 2001 to award a scholarship to an outstanding mathematics or physical science student (physics or chemistry).

HOWARD GIBSON FAMILY ENDOWMENT
Established in 1996 to award a scholarship to an outstanding graduating high school senior who is involved in school and community activities, who understands government structure and political systems, and who shows promise of succeeding in earning a college level degree in the agriculture or business field. Ideally, the recipient has succeeded in the FFA on the parliamentary procedure team. A minimum GPA average of 3.2 and minimum SAT scores of 1350 are preferred.

JIM HIGGINS MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT FUND
Established 2007 by the Higgins Family to award an annual scholarship to a graduating JCHS senior with a minimum 2.5 GPA and at least two years of active membership in the Future Farmers of America.

JIM PITNEY MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT FUND
Established 2010 by Alice Norris to award an annual scholarship to an applicant who plans to attend Oregon State University. Preference given to an applicant planning to study agriculture or a related field.

JOHN AND ARDETH HAURIGAN ENDOWMENT FUND
Established 2003 to award an annual scholarship to an adult attending college in pursuit of their first degree or certificate in their chosen field of study. Preference may be given to a student planning to attend Lane Community College. May be combined with other funds to result in a larger scholarship.

JUSTIN MOORE MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT FUND
Established in 1998 by Susan Moore. Scholarship is available to a high school graduating senior with a love of life, who respects others and honors true friendship, preferably interested in engineering or architecture; GPA 2.5 or above.

KEN AND MAXINE HAYS MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT
Established in 2007 to award an annual scholarship.

LARRY BROWN AND JERI BEARD ENDOWMENT FUND
Established in 1997 to provide scholarships and grants to be determined by ETF, and also to be used for ETF administrative costs.

LONG TOM GRANGE LARRY CROWLEY COMMEMORATIVE ENDOWMENT
Established in 2007 to award an annual scholarship to an applicant who has successfully completed one year of college. Consideration will be given to the degree to which the applicant has demonstrated an active and involved lifestyle through involvement in local and school government, civic organizations, community service, employment, school extracurricular activities, study abroad and internships.

LONG TOM GRANGE SCHOOL PROGRAMS ENDOWMENT FUND
Established in 2004 to distribute earnings to school programs identified by the Long Tom Grange.

LORRI & JIM RAMSEYER ENDOWMENT FUND FOR ETF BOARD DEVELOPMENT, LEADERSHIP AND GOVERNANCE
Established 2008 by Lorri and Jim Ramseyer. Distributions from the fund will be directed by the ETF Board toward activities that will enhance ETF Board development, leadership and governance.

LUCILE & ELMER ANDREWS FAMILY ENDOWMENT FUND
Established in 2008 by the Andrews Family. Commencing in 2009 an annual scholarship is awarded to a graduating special education student who is seeking additional education/training. If not such student meets these criteria then the scholarship may be awarded to a student who expresses a strong desire to work in the field of education.

MAX AND ROSE STRAUSS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT FUND
Established in 2007 by Dr. Michael Strauss to award an annual scholarship to a JCHS graduate, with preference given to an applicant who has demonstrated leadership and involvement in school and community activities.

MICHAEL T. DUBROWA MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP
Established in 2006 by Corey DuBrowa and Karen Higgins  to award a scholarship to a Junction City High School graduating senior intending to continue their education in the field of social sciences or the pursuit of social justice.

SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL OF JUNCTION CITY ENDOWMENT FUND
Established in 2009 to award an annual scholarship to a woman at least 25 years of age who is continuing post-secondary education at an accredited education institution.

STARNS FAMILY ENDOWMENT
Established in 2001. This scholarship should be awarded to a person of integrity with a determination to pursue additional education beyond high school that will improve their likelihood of success.

SUSIE IRWIN MEMORIAL ENDOWMENT FUND
Established in 1991 by Thomas Irwin, an annual scholarship awarded to a Junction City High School graduating senior or college student in agriculture. The recipient shall have a minimum GPA of 3.0, demonstrate a strong work ethic and have been active in extracurricular activities (e.g. sports, student government, FFA or 4-H).
 

TIGER ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP FUND
(Established in 2001)  To be awarded to a Junction City High School graduating senior, with first preference going to a senior whose parent/guardian is a Junction City High School alumnus.
