This was the year of many changes; some temporary, some permanent. The
"Function in Junction" changed it's name to the ""Function
4 Junction" expanded to add and all-day "Show & Shine, got
it's own website,
became a fundraiser for the School District, AND changed it's name!
 But it
also had no mailing list to contact previous year's participants. In
addition, it had the nail-biting challenge of holding the event while Hwy.
99 was in the middle of a major construction project by O.D.O.T.
Would we be able to hold the Cruise-In?
Would cars still enter?
Would people still come?
These questions were answered early Saturday morning as a steady stream of
pre-1973 cars filled Peden Field to overflowing. And, as it turned out, it
was only a hint of the entries that showed up that evening for the
Cruise-In, packing a much longer route the length of Hwy. 99 and
the downtown area with hundreds of cars and thousands of onlookers!
