ARCHIVES:    2000     2001      2003     2004

March, 2003
Welcome to Junction City's "official" celebration of spring: the Daffodil Festival and Drive, sponsored by the Long Tom Grange, Junction City Oregon!
Each year the third weekend in March thousands of visitors from Eugene, Springfield, Corvallis, and beyond flock to Ferguson Road in Junction City to view mile after county mile of golden daffodils and enjoy a day of family activities. Over the years the festival has grown from one day to two, adding new features each year. Free entertainment, a classic car display, wagon rides, art show, cinnamon rolls, quilt displays, craft booths, and of course, all the daffodils are just a few of the things that draw people of all ages.
We hope theses photos from this year's Festival will give you a little taste of what it was like. See you next year!

Just a few of the beautiful spring scenes you'll see on the way to the Festival.

The classic automobile display is always a favorite part of the Festival

Children love the flowers, animals, and wagon rides! Each year a handmade quilt is raffeled off at the Festival Everyone gets in the Daffodil Festival mood!
The wagon rides are a popular feature with young and old alike. The wagon is covered in the extremely unlikely event of rain. (Just the same, umbrellas are not a a bad idea!)
Llama? Alpaca?   (Llama!) A charming daffodil still life decorates the Festival.
You take a lot of naps at 4 days old!

So much to see - and you're only half done!

After leaving the Grange, you can continue on to enjoy the rest of the Daffodil Drive.
